A Reasoning Index With Its Uncertainty Shown

Percentile reports correct, attempted, and unanswered counts, then estimates a reasoning index on a scale with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 15, together with a 90% range.

The Live Cognitive Profile and modelled Reasoning Index are not IQ scores or population percentiles. The Experimental IQ Estimate is disabled and unavailable in this release: no qualifying assessment is sealed and no published qualifying norm edition is active. Any future version would remain experimental, non-clinical, unverified, and not validated unless Percentile can truthfully publish evidence otherwise. No result is a basis for school, work, health, or legal decisions.

Scoring With Clear Boundaries

No Percentile account is required. Setup asks for age in whole years and lets you skip current country. Adults use one Accept and continue button for the active Scoring & Comparison Service; people under 18 never receive a server profile.

Adult Linked Score Data

After acceptance, adult question, answer, timing, result, and profile evidence is linked to a random service ID. It is used only for requested scoring, versioned Calibration Editions created when sufficient data is available and after review, the Live Cognitive Profile and history, quality, integrity, and security. Adults can delete the linked record in Settings.

Unlinked Under-18 Route

One administration may send only age, optional country, form/item IDs, final responses, and bucketed timing/count summaries. There is no persistent or device ID, cross-session link, server profile, exact timestamp, device context, or full event timeline. Raw submissions expire within 90 days.

No Ads or Tracking

Score Data is never used for advertising, tracking, data-broker products, commercial data licensing, or unrelated generalized-model training. Apple separately handles optional Game Center and App Store services. Read the full Privacy Policy for fields, retention, and deletion.

Questions About IQ Tests and Percentile

The short version of what the app measures, stores, and includes.

How do friend challenges work?

Percentile uses Apple Game Center for invitations and matchmaking. Everyone races the same questions on one shared clock, answers stay private until the room finishes, and fifteen modes — challenge, knockout, wager, memory span, and more — change how it scores. Multiplayer is free: every clock, every mode, hosting and joining.

Is Percentile a free IQ test?

Percentile is a free-to-start IQ test practice app with original pattern, spatial, number, word, and logic questions. Its modelled Reasoning Index and Live Cognitive Profile are not standardized IQ scores or population percentiles, and no result should be used for high-stakes decisions. Try our free IQ test questions with answers to learn the formats and practice the underlying skills.

What can I do in Percentile?

Challenge friends through Game Center, take the fixed Baseline or a new full test, and practice across twelve focused collections.

How does scoring data work?

Saved history stays local for resume, results, and progress. Adults also send Linked Score Data after Accept and continue; people under 18 can send only one tightly limited unlinked administration whose raw record expires within 90 days. There are no ads or trackers, and current country is optional.

Which devices does Percentile support?

Percentile supports iPhone with iOS 17 or later and iPad with iPadOS 17 or later.

How are Percentile scores calculated?

The current Reasoning Index is a modelled estimate with uncertainty, and the Live Cognitive Profile combines adult evidence across the app; neither is IQ. Scores identify the versioned Calibration Edition used and older results are not silently rewritten. New editions are created when sufficient data is available and after review. The Experimental IQ Estimate remains disabled and unavailable.
